Explore the Foodie Scene

Portland is known for its incredible foodie scene and so many well-respected and well-reviewed restaurants. We were even rated as the Restaurant City of the Year by Bon Appetite Magazine in 2018. While there are dozens of restaurants I recommend, you can’t visit Maine without a classic lobster experience. Enjoy casual dockside dining at Portland Lobster Company or the famed Brown Butter Lobster Roll at Eventide Oyster Company. Or, head over to Luke’s Lobster Shack in the heart of Old Port to experience the best of Portland’s foodie scene.
